Editors Roles and Responsibilities

*Editor-in-Chief: The most senior editor who has overall responsibility for the journal.
 

1. Advance the standing of the journal in the scientific community and increase its impact
2. Maintain the highest standards of ethics and competence.
3. Select Editorial Board members for the journal
4. Selection and guidance of reviewers and review process
5. Making the final decision on acceptance/rejection of the manuscript.
6. Promote the journal at relevant conferences and other public events.
7. Organize special issues.
8. Contributing Editorials and relevant scientific articles.
9. To be responsible for the editorial control and quality of the Journal, including the soliciting, editing and publication of submissions.
10. To ensure the timely publication of the Journal
11. Acting as an ambassador for the journal, commissioning content and fielding submission enquires as appropriate.

1. In the absence of Chief Editor, the Co-Chief Editor will take decisions on his behalf.
2. Co-Chief Editor assists the Chief Editor in policy formulation and editorial selection.
3. He guides managing and associate editors in content selection.
4. He can also give final comments on the manuscripts.
5. Organize special issues.
6. Contributing Editorials and relevant scientific articles.
7. Select Editorial Board members for the journal.

1. Maintain highest standards of ethics and competence.
2. Supervise editing of manuscripts for each issue with respect to scientific writing and layout conventions.
3. Suggesting changes to enhance the content quality of the journal.
4. Systematic evaluation of the review reports, hold vital decision on paper acceptance or rejection.
5. Promote the journal at conferences and meetings.
6. Make decisions on whether authors have met reviewer concerns and provide final editing of manuscript before approval.

1. Suggesting suitable reviewers.
2. Ensuring that the publication maintains the highest quality while adhering to the publication rules and procedures of the journal.
3. Occasionally, solicit articles / interesting work from your colleagues/acquaintances and help
4. Promote the journal at conferences and meetings.
5. Submit an Inaugural Article which may have multiple authors, but the Associate Editor must be a corresponding author.
6. Suggest and review the special issues as well.
7. Systematic evaluation of the review reports, hold vital decision on paper acceptance or rejection.

1. Giving feedback on past issues and making suggestions for both subject matter and potential authors.
2. Provide content by writing occasional editorials and other research or review articles.
3. To add credibility to the journal and Approach potential contributors.
4. Identify appropriate conferences for editors to attend.
5. Endorse the journal to authors, readers and subscribers and encourage colleagues to submit their best work.
6. To bring together a range of key individuals within the field who can advise on journal strategy.
7. Suggesting reviewers for the assigned manuscript.
8. Maintain the highest standards of ethics and competence.
9. Editorial Board members will encourage the submission of articles to the Journal in their network.

1. The Guest Editor is responsible for ensuring that the review process for this special issue is conducted in an appropriate manner and in line with normal review practices for the journal.
2. The Guest Editor(s) for special issues shall compile a list of authors and proposed titles of their papers.
3. The Guest Editor(s) only accepts papers that are within the subject matter scope of the conference and are submitted by the attending participants/delegates.
4. The Guest Editor ensures that papers are from international authors and represent an academic contribution to the subject field.
5. The Guest Editor will invite the authors to submit their papers by the given deadline.
6. Once the list of contents is known and articles are being submitted, the Guest Editor shall provide a short editorial, outlining and introducing the special issue and its significance.
